Itinerary

Day Wise Itinerary: -

Day 1: Guwahati Sightseeing After breakfast visit Kamakhya temple, Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, Balaji Temple, state Zoo. Evening River cruise over the river Brahmaputra. Overnight in Guwahati

Day 2: Guwahati - Shillong After breakfastthen proceed to Shillong (3 hours), the capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of "Scotland of the East" owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. On the way you will visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, a major tourist attraction located just before entering Shillong. You will visit-

• Don Bosco Museum

DAY03: Shillong - CherrapunjeeDelight in Cherrapunjee tourism as you will explore popular tourist attractions. On the way visit Shillong peak and get a bird's eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls. proceed for excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave or Arwah Cave.

DAY04: Cherrapunjee – Nongriat – Cherrapunje Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and directly process to Nongriat. It is perhaps best known for its living root bridges; one an impressive double-decker suspension bridge called Jingkieng Nongriat .The trek to the Living Root Bridge of the Nongriat village near Cherrapunjee is not for the weak-kneed or the faint hearted . The living root bridges of Nongriat village are one of the manmade wonders, dating back many centuries. The aerial roots of Banyan tree on opposite sides of the river are continuously twisted, given direction and woven together, till it can be shaped and strengthened into a sturdy bridge. This is the only means for the villagers to cross the raging water streams to reach the other side. There are two living root bridges in Nongriat, a single decker bridge, and a double decker bridge. Over night stay at cherrapunjee.

DAY05:- Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong – Dawki - Shillong After a refreshing morning, take your breakfast and drive from Cheerapunjee to

• Mawlynnong- A picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as A the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh View point and the longest Living Root Bridge.On the way to Dawki you can enjoy the view of Borhill Falls and Kyram Falls.
• Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. You can have a bath over here, enjoy local boating and if you are a fish lover than can have a taste of Dawki's fish at nearby food court. And then transfer to shilling. Overnight stay at the Shillong

Day 6 : Shillong to Jowai Morning after breakfast drive to Jowai,there you will visit Krungsuri Water fall, Tyrshi Waterfalls, Nartiang Monolithics and Durga Mandir. Then we will transfer back to Shillong. Enroute you will visit Grand Laitlum Canyon – made famous by the movie Rock on 2. In the evening spend your time at Police bazaar. Overnight Stay at shillong

Day 7: Shillong ToGuwahati Depart Early morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station with some pleasant memories in your mind for your onward journey home.
